Our tires now roll on American soil!
Homeland Security gave us the full shakedown getting off the Sidney-Anacortes ferry, looking deep into our panniers and sniffing our water bottles. Apparently we don’t pose too much of a threat, although I was warned that I’m carrying “a lot of books”. From here we aim our front wheels at Seattle via Whidbey Island. Wish us luck!
